Pony Games For Girls – The Perfect Games For Girly Parties

Ponies are such delightful animals for little girls and pre-teens. Most of the time, these little kids ask their parents to buy them ponies for their birthdays. However, it is not always possible for every family to purchase and care for ponies because they are downright expensive. This concept is probably one of those ideas that sparked game enthusiasts and parents to develop pony games for girls.

Of course, these games are not expensive and yet they provide enjoyment and fun to all the participants. It is best that you use your creativity in order to get an alternative. So pony games for girls are important, particularly during birthday parties.

“Horse, Horse, Pony” is one of the many pony games for girls that you can use for parlor games. This is a substitute game which was based on the “Duck, Duck, Goose” game.

To start playing this game, arrange the girls in circle on the floor. Tell them to sit on the floor with their legs crossed. Select the girl who will act as cowgirl and tell her to walk around just outside of the circle. The cowgirl then taps each girl lightly on the head while saying “horse, horse, horse”. She will then identify who the “pony” will be by tapping her saying “pony”. When the “pony” is selected, she and the cowgirl will run around the circle and the cowgirl should sit on the pony’s place before she gets tagged. Tell the girls to cheer their friends while running around the circle.

Another fun, girly game is the “Pony Parade”. This pony game needs some hair barrettes, ponytails and additional accessories for the girls to use before the parade.

Take out full-length/wall mirrors with heights that are appropriate for the girls. Use the colorful clips, combs, hair brushes, ponytail bows, barrettes and other girly items. Tell the girls to decorate and style their hair as if they’re horses’ manes. Tell the adults to assist the kids in styling their hair. Once the kids are done, tell them to stand around the birthday girl for a photo shoot. Make sure that there is music about ponies and horses such as “Home on the Range”, “Camptown Races” and others. Then instruct the girls to parade around and show off their pony hair-dos while prancing.

As for giveaways and prizes, you can give the girls toys and goodies with pony themes. For sure all these plus your pony games for girls will win the hearts of the little ones.
